Multiple snatching incidents with similar modus operandi were reported in Delhi on Wednesday. The police are yet to identify the culprits, but given the modus operandi the involvement of a single gang is suspected, the police said.
Robbed at gunpoint
A man approached officers at Sarai Rohilla around 6.30 p.m. on Wenesday claiming that four men wearing black jackets had robbed his bike at gunpoint and fled.
The second incident was reported from Maurice Nagar. A youth alleged that four men fled after snatching his gold chain and wristband. The third incident was reported from Model Town, where a woman told the police that her gold chain was snatched by bike-borne men. In the fourth incident, a woman on her way to Rohini with a colleague was robbed of her belongings at gunpoint near Kashmere Gate.
The police are yet to identify the culprits but given the modus operandi, involvement of a single gang is suspected, they said.
