Amit Shah launches 'Karnataka Parivartan Yatra' with hope of returning to power in state

BENGALURU: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) president Amit Shah launched the 'Karnataka Parivartan Yatra' with a vision of returning to power in the southern state.
The yatra spanning over the next 75 days would traverse through all the 224 Assembly constituencies in the state as a part of the mass contact programme ahead of the state Assembly election to be held early next year.
Giving a boost for BJP ahead of the Assembly election in Karnataka, Channapatna MLA CP Yogeshwar and Kudachi MLA Rajeev joined the party in the presence of party Amit Shah just before the launch of ' Karnataka Parivartan Yatra'.
While Yogeshwar was elected from the Samajwadi Party in the last Assembly election, Rajeev had won as the candidate of Badavara Shramikara Raithara Congress which was launched by B Sriramulu.
Apart from BJP state leaders BS Yeddyurappa, Jagadish Shettar, KS Eshwarappa, R Ashok and other senior union ministers Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari and Uma Bharti and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, are also set to participate in the yatra at various stages.
The 7500 km Yatra would end with a massive rally to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bengaluru on January 28, next year.
