Indian Biotechnology Regulations implemented under Rules, 1989 of the Environment Protection Act, 1986 are dynamic and complementing with emerging technologies used for research, product development and progress in science of risk assessment. Government of India has undertaken several reforms in biotechnology regulatory system including the project “Establishment of Biosafety Support Unit (BSU)” with trained and skilled scientists with specialization in relevant scientific disciplines. BSU will assist in scrutiny of applications received for risk assessment and will prepare reports to facilitate decision making by the competent bodies.

Scientist (Pharma Biotechnology/ Toxicology) - 01
Educational and other qualifications required : Essential Qualifications: (i). Ph. D. in Pharma Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Pharmacology & Toxicology with (ii). First Class Degree at M. Pharma level in Pharma Biotechnology/Pharmaceutics/ Toxicology
Experience: Minimum one year Post-Doctoral experience in the development of Bio- Pharmaceuticals/Biologicals
Monthly Remuneration : Rs.50,000/- to Rs.70,000/- per month based on experience
Age Limit : 37 years on the last date of application

Scientist (Bioprocessing Engineering/ Bio- Analysis) - 01
Educational and other qualifications required : Essential Qualifications: (i) Ph. D. in Bioprocessing Engineering / Structural Biology/Bio Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry with one year Post- Doctoral experience (ii) First Class Degree at MSc/MTech/ME in Biochemical Engineering/Biotechnology & Bioprocess Engineering/Industrial Microbiology/ Bioprocess Technology/ Industrial Biotechnology /Physical Chemistry /Bioprocess Technology/ Biotechnology and Bioprocess Technology/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Biochemistry/ Analytical Chemistry
Experience: Minimum one year Post-Doctoral experience inbio Pharma, fermentation, NMR,Mass Spectroscopy,HPLC, Protein analysis.
