Himadri Speciality Chemical today posted more than two-fold jump in its standalone net profit at Rs 51.16 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal.
Its net profit stood at Rs 19.04 crore in the same quarter last year, the Kolkata-based company said in a regulatory filing.
Net income increased to Rs 469.90 crore in the July- September period of the 2017-18 fiscal from Rs 384.22 crore in the year-ago period.
Revenue from its carbon materials and chemicals business rose to Rs 462.58 crore from Rs 376.60 crore, but the power business reported a flat growth in the period under review, the filing added.
The company's shares fell 1.58 per cent to settle at Rs 168.05 apiece on the BSE today.
