Minor girl abducted in Rajasthan rescued in city

BENGALURU: A 16-year-old girl kidnapped from her village in Rajasthan was rescued by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) here on Wednesday.The girl is a native of a village in Rajasthan’s Nagaur district. On Saturday, as her mother was unwell, she left home to buy medicine. On the way, she was approached by unidentified people. They sprayed aerosol on her to make her unconscious and then abducted her. When the girl did not return home, the family approached the police, who found that the girl was being taken to Bengaluru in a train.
The police personnel in Rajasthan informed the RPF in Bengaluru about the incident and sent the girl’s
picture to them. On Wednesday, when the train from Jaipur arrived in Bengaluru station at 3 pm, RPF personnel searched the train and found the girl in the toilet. She was gagged, and both her arms and legs had been tied up. The abductors were not found on the train. Parents of the girl arrived in Bengaluru on Wednesday after which the girl was handed over to them.
