According to the CRPF PRO, five jawans have been injured in this attack.

"A convoy of CRPF's 96 battalion comprising of six buses was on its way back to Mattan town when it was fired upon by militants," IANS quoted a police officer as saying.

"The attack was repulsed, but two troopers sustained minor injuries. The area has been cordoned off for searches," he added.
