Alia Bhatt is on a roll with her series of blockbusters and string of upcoming projects. And now moving beyond the silver screen, she is on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Bride. However, she is not the only one stealing the spotlight. For the November issue of the international brand’s Indian edition, ace designer Masaba Gupta too features on the cover. The two divas who are also good friends, look spectacular in a rustic, wild setting with loads of plants and flowers.

With the title, “Girls, Uninterrupted”, the two friends can be seen sitting on a chair in a mystical jungleland, apt for the edition’s theme — ‘couture goes green’. The Highway actress dons a floral embellished gown from the house of Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet. The black-and-green gown with a high neckline and cap sleeves with colourful floral motifs is beautiful but somehow it failed to shine. The heavy embroidery on the gown and backdrop seemed to be a little overbearing. However, we must applaud how beautifully the western outfit was presented with an Indian twist.

Stylist Shaurya Athley for the magazine chose an H Ajooma maangtika for Bhatt’s appearance and paired it with a statement stud earrings and spectacular ring from Dwarkadas Chandumal Jewellers. Her hair and make-up were kept simple with light brown lips and tresses kept open with center-parted hair.

On the other hand, Gupta looked her stylish best in an off-shoulder, camouflage ensemble from Shantanu and Nikhil. Gupta’s stylist gave her a sleek straight hair look for the photoshoot, with minimalist make-up and diamond jewellery — a combination that was eloquent and beautiful.

With stunning necklace, bracelet and diamond earrings by Anmol Jewellers, Ghanasingh Be True Jewellers and Gehna Jewellers, she looked classy and had an edge over Bhatt.

We think both Bhatt and Gupta looked lovely, however, Gupta’s sartorial choice stood out in the forest-themed photoshoot. Whose look do you like more? Tell us in the comments below.
