Pakistan repatriates nine Indian fishermen, four civilian prisoners

In an effort to try and mend differences with India, nine fishermen and four civilian prisoners, along with a minor child were repatriated via Attari/Wagah border by the authorities. Earlier, two Pakistani civilian prisoners were also released last month on September28, 2017. India attaches high priority to addressing all humanitarian issues, including early release and repatriation of Indian fishermen and prisoners in Pakistan’s custody. So far, release of 370 Indian prisoners, including 363 fishermen, has been secured in 2017.
