Flight attendant reveals which seats on a plane get the best in-flight service

Long distance flights are not always an experience that people look forward to. Inadequate space, noisy infants and the duration itself make the experience extremely uncomfortable.

Despite all this, if there's good service on-board a flight the experience becomes a little more bearable.

A flight attendant has now revealed tips that may help you ensure better in-flight service.

As per a write-up in Oyster.com by Annie Kingston, who herself is a flight attendant with an experience of over four years in the industry, sitting in the back row could ensure that you can get better services and attention from the attendants. Most planes have bigger pantry/kitchens at the back.

The choice of seat is surprising as people tend to avoid the back row due to several reasons. While on one hand the attendants serve items starting from the front often limiting choices for those sitting at the back, the rear row seats are also closer to washrooms leading many travelers to avoid the area altogether.

However, as per Kingston, the attendants prefer serving those in the back simply because it will grab lesser attention from others than when serving someone in the front row.

Kingston adds that flight attendants, “like to avoid responding to call bells from the front of the plane because answering one means potentially flaunting whatever item the passenger has requested to everyone else along the way. This can cause a problem since planes often don't have enough extra vodka, pillows, earplugs, and toothbrushes.”

So, in other words, a seat in the back row may lead to a longer wait for your regular flight meals but it may increase your chances of getting an extra plate of dessert.
