NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index swung between gains and losses in Thursday's trade.

The Nifty IT index was trading flat at 10,818 around 11:25 am (IST), with shares of Tech Mahindra (down 3.92 per cent), Infosys (down 0.67 per cent), MindTree (down 0.61 per cent) and Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.21 per cent) as the top losers.

However, shares of Infibeam Incorporation (up 12.91 per cent) surged up to 13 per cent in the index.

Tata Elxsi (up 1.77 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 1.08 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.95 per cent), KPIT Technologies (up 0.51 per cent) and Wipro (up 0.12 per cent) were also trading up around that time.

Shares of Idea Cellular (number of shares traded: 1.72 crore), ICICI Bank (1.44 crore), Punjab National Bank (1.04 crore), State Bank of India (0.95 crore), YES Bank (0.52 crore) and Sun Pharma (0.50 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange.

Aurobindo Pharma, Dr Reddy's Labs, Sun Pharma, Lupin, GAIL and ICICI Bank were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Tech Mahindra, Hindalco, Zee Entertainment, Tata Motors, Hindustan Unilever and Mahindra & Mahindra were among top losers among the Nifty stocks.
