Body of man wrapped in bedcover found near bus stop in Delhi

NEW DELHI: The decomposed body of a man wrapped in a bedcover was recovered from near a bus stop in north Delhi's Roop Nagar today, police said.

Police were informed around 11.15 am that foul smell was coming out of the "suspicious" object wrapped in a bedsheet near the bus stop in Maurice Nagar Part-II.

Police reached the spot and recovered the body, which is believed to be that of a man aged between 18 an 25 years, they said.

There were no clothes on the man's body and it was tied using a plastic rope.

A sweeper told the police that he had seen it lying there yesterday.

Police have registered a case of murder and are scanning CCTV footage from the area.
