TDP in damage control mode amidst exodus

WARANGAL: A day after two senior leaders —  former Mulug MLA Danasari Anasuya, popularly known as Seethakka and former MLA and general secretary Vem Narender Reddy —  from the district joined Congress along with MLA A Revanth Reddy in presence of AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi in Delhi, a shaken district leadership started fire fighting exercise and in order to create confidence among the cadre, they are giving an impression that the absence of those members would not affect party’s prospects.

Former minister and TDP politburo member Revuri Prakash Reddy clarified that he is not leaving TDP A  large number of party leaders thronged party office at Hanamkonda to discuss latest development. Coming down heavily on Revanth and Seethakka, Prakash said joining a party like Congress, which is neck deep in corruption, is unfortunate. Taking a dig at their claim that their move was a as part of political realignment, he said, “This is nothing but purely power hunger.”
