There is an inexplicable connection between healthy food and blissful living. Music is one such art which expresses such thoughts and Will Tuttle, the author of best selling book World Peace Diet along with his talented wife Madeline enthralled Hyderabad’s audience with a thought-provoking talk and musical ensemble.
Talking about his transformation from meat eating to veganism, Will Tuttle he said, “I was born to a typical American family where meat eating was the norm. But after reading extensively on Indian spirituality in particular, I realised the importance of turning vegan. The simple fact that there is life in every animal itself brings me tremendous energy and in unison with the world.”

A follower of spiritual guru Ramana Maharshi, this is the first time Will is in India along with his wife. Speaking about his travels to India, he says, “It is incredible to finally be in India where many spiritual gurus realised the importance of vegan diet for healthy lifestyle. My trip to Thiruvannamalai has been a path breaking experience.”
Speaking of his connect with music, Will reminisces, “ I have been a pipe organ player since my childhood and grew up in a musical environment. I was influenced by jazz to rock and roll and even Indian classical music to certain extent. There is no better way to express a strong thought than blissful music which reaches more audience faster.”
Will feels that the biggest challenge for a meat eater to turn into a vegan is tremendous peer pressure they might face. But once the importance of transforming into plant-based diet is realised, the transformation happens naturally.
Later Will Tuttle gave a concert — ‘Piano Passion’ on the grand piano and Madeline on the flute was quite remarkable. It commenced in the peaceful environment of Phoenix Arena, Hitech City in the presence of seasoned audience.
He also gave a scintillating talk about how veganism would lead to a better world to live, with lesser environmental problems. Will Tuttle emphasised on ‘compassion towards animals’ in his talk. A new term Speciecism was introduced to the audience which means exclusively discriminating certain species of animals by causing them harm.
The event was organised by Hyderabad Vegan Club and Goethe Zentrum.
