GE T&D Q2 net rises 2-fold to Rs 47.52 cr

GE T&D India said its net profit rose by over two-fold to Rs 47.52 crore in the quarter ending September 30, 2017, compared to the year-ago period.
The company's net profit for the quarter ending September 30, 2016, was Rs 20.52 crore, GE T&D India Ltd which is formerly known as Alstom T&D India, said in a BSE filing.
The company's total income for the quarter was Rs 904.34 crore compared to Rs 921.18 crore year ago.
During the April-September, the company's net profit was Rs 109.19 crore while it suffered a net loss of Rs 176.89 crore in the year-ago period.
The company had reported a net loss of Rs 86.66 crore for the year ending on March 31, 2017.
The company is engaged in the business relating to products, projects and systems for electricity transmission related activities only.
