India is set to take on New Zealand in the first T20I here in Delhi. The Feorze Shah Kotla Stadium looks sold out as it gets ready to bid farewell to local boy Ashish Nehra, who will retire from all forms of the game after today.
New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson has won the toss and he has chosen to field first. Kohli said he would have done the same but now that his side is batting first, he will be hopeful of getting a good total on the board to play with. Stay tuned for more updates.

Right from the outset, it was India that dictated the ebb and flow of the game. After Kiwi skipper Williamson asked India to bat first, Dhawan and Rohit Sharma dug in and got India past the 150-run mark without the loss of a wicket. Dhawan fell when he was on 80 and so did Rohit a while later. Kohli and Dhoni batted well in the final couple of overs to get India past the 200-run mark.
The Kiwis faltered early on as India picked up wickets at regular intervals. The required run rate kept climbing and was soon out of reach, after which the batsmen simply enjoyed the game and hit everything they could. Nehra bowled his quota of 4 overs but finished without a wicket. He was unlucky because three catches went down off his bowling, although two of them were really difficult. The left-arm pacer bid adieu to the game he persevered at for decades with a smile on his face and fans of Indian cricket will always remember his 6/23 against England in 2003, long after he is gone.
India win the game. It was a decent last over from Nehra and the man will be missed by many fans of Indian cricket. Nehra saw both ends of the spectrum during his career and at age 38, finally bids adieu to the game he played so hard.

FOUR! Southee edges one off Chahal and manages to get it over the slip fielder for four.
OUT! Latham dances down the track and misses the ball completely. Dhonie calmly collects and does the necessary. New Zealand's lone ranger in this innings is gone.
FOUR! Latham edges one off Chahal and it races away to the fence.
OUT! Nicholls tries to scamper through for a single but Virat is too fast for him. Gets a direct hit from mid-on and Nicholls is miles out.
OUT! Axar gets two in an over. New man de Grandhomme tries to clear the fence and finds Dhawan in the deep. New Zealand now have no other option, really. They all have to try or perish the same way.
OUT! Axar gets his man as Bruce hoists one up trying to clear the mid-wicket boundary. Only manages to find Rohit Sharma's hands a few feet away from the ropes.
SIX! Chahal is into the attack and he drops one short to Latham, who makes the most of it by pulling the ball over the mid-wicket boundary.
Axar gets through his over quickly, conceding only 6 runs. Bruce and Latham will look to get a move on soon. Otherwise, they might as well forefeit the match right now.
Axar is back into the attack.
FOUR! Tom Bruce is the new man in and it seems like he means business. Pandya drops one short again and Bruce steps away to make some room. Hits it over the point fielder for four.
FOUR! Pandya drops one short and wide again and Latham makes him pay. Finds the point boundary with ease.
OUT! Pandya is brought into the attack and he strikes immediately. It was short and wide and Williamson chased it looking for the boundary but he only managed to edge it to Dhoni.
That's the end of a relatively quiet over by Axar Patel. New Zealand 54/2 after 9 overs.
DROPPED! Williamson advances down the track and hits one straight to mid on. Virat jumps in the air and gets a hand to the ball but is unable to hold on. Nehra is denied a wicket yet again.
FOUR! Nehra drops one short and Williamson goes deep into his crease to pull it past deep square leg.
Nehra is back into the attack now. He deserved a wicket but was denied the pleasure because of a dropped catch by Hardik Pandya. Here is hoping the man can experience the pleasure of taking a wicket one last time before he hangs up his boots.
Axar Patel has been brought into the attack.
SIX! Williamson managed to get under that full one from Bhuvi and scooped it over fine leg for six.
