Udaipur: A six-year-old boy died while at least eight children were injured when their school bus overturned near a toll plaza at Manawaton ka Guda village in Charbhuja area of Rajsamand district on Wednesday morning.
The vehicle was carrying 20 children to the school when the incident took place. Brake failure was said to be the reason for the accident after which the driver lost control over the vehicle. The bus overturned in the middle of the road.
Gaurav (6), a resident of Aonwali ki Bhagal, died on the spot after sustaining serious head injuries while two other children Mahesh Tiwari (14) a student of Class IX, and a Class IV student Hitesh Tiwari (10) sustained serious injuries.
The school bus belonged to Mahapragya Academy in Charbhuja.
