Rise In LPG Gas Prices

Delhi residents are not going to sigh relief as the government has again hiked LPG prices in the state by Rs 94 in case of domestic cylinders.

LPG  (Liquid Petroleum Gas) is used for domestic cooking purposes in many states as the main fuel source. According to the sources. the usage of LPG in on the rise in spite the increased prices of LPG.

Oil companies on Tuesday (31 October) announced the sudden hike in the price non-subsidised domestic LPG cylinder by Rs 94 and the price of a subsidised domestic LPG cylinder too was hiked by Rs 4.56. The new price of LPG cylinders will be applicable from Wednesday (1 November).

The effective price of a 14 kg cylinder in Delhi will now cost Rs 742 and 19 kg commercial cylinder will cost Rs 1310.50.

The hike came exactly two months after Oil Minister of Modi Government Dharmendra Pradhan asked state-run oil companies to raise subsidised cooking gas (LPG) prices by Rs 4 per cylinder every month to eliminate all the subsidies by March next year.
