Most active stocks in terms of volume on NSE Wednesday

NEW DELHI: Shares of ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 3.88 crore), Idea Cellular (3.85 crore) and State Bank of India (3.49 crore) remained the most active stocks in terms of volume on NSE on Wednesday.
Bharti Airtel (3.22 crore), Punjab National Bank (2.81 crore), DLF (2.63 crore), SAIL (2.44 crore), Axis Bank (2.25 crore), Bank of Baroda (1.46 crore), Ashok Leyland (1.35 crore), BHEL (0.96 crore) and YES Bank (0.93 crore) were the other stocks in the league in that order.
Domestic equity markets remained bullish on Wednesday, with benchmark indices Nifty50 and Sensex hitting fresh record highs of 10,451.65 and 33,651.52, respectively.
The Nifty50 index closed Wednesday's session 105 points up at 10,440, while the BSE Sensex settled 387 points up at 33,600.
Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Vedanta, Hindalco, HDFC, Hindustan Unilever, Axis Bank and Tata Motors stood as the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.
On the contrary, Eicher Motors, Bharti Infratel, Dr Reddy's, UPL, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Zee Entertainment Enterprises settled as the top losers among the Nifty stocks.
In the Nifty50 index, 29 stocks settled in the green, while 21 stocks ended the day in the red on Wednesday.
