Andhra Pradesh achieves 12.26 Gross Value Added in first quarter

VIJAYAWADA: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has said that out of the target to achieve 16.23 Gross Value Added (GVA) in the 2017-18 fiscal, Andhra Pradesh recorded 12.26 GVA in the first quarter of the current fiscal.Against the `1,24,480 crore targeted GVA for the current fiscal, the GVA of the State in the first quarter stood at 1,07,099 crore.

While reviewing the results of the first two quarters of the fiscal with the officials of Planning Department at the IGC in Velagapudi on Tuesday, Yanamala said that the growth rate of agriculture and allied sectors in the first quarter of the fiscal stood at 27.60 per cent. He said that the growth rate in services sector of the State stood low compared with other States.
