Equity benchmarks hit fresh record highs today.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index was trading on a choppy note in afternoon trade on Wednesday.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.07 per cent down at 9,750 around 12:30 pm (IST), with shares of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (down 2.19 per cent), Piramal Enterprises (down 1.31 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 0.33 per cent) as the losers.

However, shares of Divi's Laboratories (up 4.78 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals (up 0.81 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (up 0.74 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (up 0.53 per cent), Cipla (up 0.37 per cent), Lupin (up 0.33 per cent) and Cadila Healthcare (up 0.14 per cent) were trading up around that time.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 106 points up at 10,441, while the BSE Sensex was 407 points up at 33,620.

Among the 51 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, SBI, Idea Cellular, DLF, PNB, Axis Bank, SAIL, Bank of Baroda, YES Bank, RIL, BHEL were among the most traded stocks on the National Stock Exchange.

Shares of Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Axis Bank, Vedanta and Hindalco Industries stood were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Eicher Motors, Dr Reddy's Labs, UPL, HCL Tech, Tata Consultancy Services and Zee Entertainment were among the top losers in the Nifty50 pack.
