Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau — or should we start calling him Clark Kent? — revealed his true identity as Superman on the occasion of Halloween on Tuesday. Taking to social media, Trudeau posted a photograph with children and wished everyone a “super Halloween!”

In the picture, Trudeau is seen wearing a pair of geeky glasses with his slick hair parted and an unbuttoned crisp white shirt slightly revealing his Superman costume beneath. “It had to be done,” Trudeau reportedly said after walking down a flight of stairs and unbuttoning his t-shirt to expose himself as Superman.

In the past, Trudeau dressed as Han Solo of Star Wars for his first Halloween in office. Last year, he went as a pilot from the French children’s book “Le Petit Prince” with his youngest son, Hadrien, who dressed up as the title character.

The Canadian leader’s penchant for celebrating different festivals with an element of quirk has often attracted attention on social media. Recently on the occasion of Diwali, Trudeau donned the traditional kurta and celebrated the festival of lights. “Diwali Mubarak! We’re celebrating in Ottawa tonight,” he wrote while sharing a picture of himself lighting a lamp. However, he was soon critcised for saying Diwali Mubarak instead of Diwali ki Badhai or Shubh Deepawali.

Trudeau has also wished people on Eid al-Adha with an important message on kindness and reflection, and on Baisakhi in fluent Punjabi.
