Students of the National School of Drama (NSD) staged a protest on Tuesday over postponement of a production, scheduled for October 30, 31 and November 1, due to “unavoidable circumstances”.
In-house issues
The students have asked the administration to discuss the postponement and other campus-related issues. The students, however, said they do not want to make the issues public.
A students’ union member said: “We are a very close community here and would like to solve our problems through dialogue instead of making our in-house issues public. We have seen how matters at other institutions are not resolved because issues are made public.” The students however threatened to hit the functioning of NSD if the administration does not hold discussions with them.
