Ajay Devgn starrer Golmaal Again has already become the second highest Indian grosser, just behind Baahubali: The Conclusion.  As per the latest box office update about the film, shared by trade guru Taran Adarsh, Golmaal Again has made a total collection of Rs 179.70 cr. Diwali this year has turned out to be a blessing for Rohit Shetty and his latest directorial Golmaal Again seems to have enjoyed the most from the festival.

Taran tweeted, “#GolmaalAgain [Week 2] Fri 7.25 cr, Sat 10.61 cr, Sun 13.58 cr, Mon 4.33 cr, Tue 4.02 cr, Wed 3.78 cr. Total: ₹ 179.70 cr. India biz.”

Rohit Shetty, who was recently seen hosting the television adventure reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, got ambitious with Golmaal Again and went into exploring the horror-comedy genre. Many initially thought it was a risk he took, keeping the fact that Golmaal is known for its out-and-out comedy, but the director just got lucky. While the critics marked the film as a decent watch, it was the audience and a good word-of-mouth that helped Golmaal Again earn the maximum in the extended festive weekend. The other release, Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar also managed to fair well, but definitely nothing close to this one.
