Rajyotsava honour for Danish man

MYSURU:Hendrick Hardeman, a Denmark national, who has mastered Kannada, has been selected for the district level Kannada Rajyotsava honour.

Deputy Commissioner D Randeep, who learnt about Hardeman, following a report published in  ‘The New Sunday Express’ titled ‘Namaskara’, this foreigner speaks Kannada like a native’, considered it as a rare achievement.

He recommended Hardeman’s name for the honour in the category of ‘Kannada Seve’ (Service to Kannada), to become one among 31 achievers selected from different fields.Hardeman has made Mysuru his second home for the past five years.

He will be bestowed the honour during the Rajyotsava celebration organised by the district administration at Kalamandir on Wednesday.
