Woman killed by relative over money

BENGALURU:A 40-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her late husband’s brother over a financial dispute at her residence at Ganapathy Nagar near Peenya on Tuesday.Sarojamma, who worked at a garment factory, was stabbed by Nataraj (44), who was taken into custody after the incident on Tuesday morning.
According to police, Nataraj and Sarojamma had been quarrelling over money for the past few days. Nataraj owns a lathe machine, but is said to be making losses in business. On Tuesday morning, Nataraj visited Sarojamma when she was alone at home. They quarrelled and around 8.30am he slit her throat and fled from the house. Her body was found only in the evening when her son returned from work around 9pm.
After the police were informed, they made enquiries about Nataraj’s whereabouts and managed to nab him. A police official said he was making preparations to leave the city and go to his native town Gauribidanur in Chikkaballapur district.
