The Mali-D71 architecture has been optimized for 4K displays at 120 FPS. According to Android Authority, the Mali-D71 display processor has 4X latency tolerance, 2X area efficiency and 2X pixel output as compared to the earlier generation Mali-DP650. Arm pointed out that these factors are important if one is to use high-resolution images at a higher frame rate for AR or VR.
