The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted protection to ED officer Rajeshwar Singh, who is probing 2G scam, against complaints by any accused being investigated by him.
Rajeshwar Singh had moved the SC seeking protection against 'baseless complaint' against him. He alleged that he is being harassed for attaching properties of some accused in 2G scam case.

Th apex court also sought detailed replies from the Centre, CBI and Enforcement Directorate in Rajeshwar Singh's case.
It may be recalled that ED officer Rajeshwar Singh was shunted out from the organisation for probing money trails to Karti Chidambaram's firms. The Ministry of Finance told court that the probe in the Aircel-Maxis case was over and that there wasn't any need of the services of Rajeshwar Singh, in July 2014.
After BJP leader Subramanian Swamy's petition, the Supreme Court intervened to post Rajeshwar Singh permanently in the ED.
Soon after Singh moved the SC seeking protection Swamy tweeted in support of the officer. "All crooks have banded together to see the honest officer & Jt Director ED Rajeshwar Singh does not arrest PC or BC in Aircel Maxis case," Swamy tweeted.
