Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday lashed out at anti-poor policies of Gujarat government in a public rally in Bharuch. He has begun the third leg of 'Navsarjan Gujarat Yatra' ahead of assembly polls in the state.

At the outset, Rahul Gandhi said, "Farmers' voice is suppressed in Gujarat."
He underlined the failure of Tata'a Nano project in the state and blamed PM Modi, who was then CM of Gujarat, for his anti-farmer policy.
Rahul Gandhi said, " Narendra Modi granted Rs 33,000 crore loan to TATA's for nano, at low-interest rates, your lands were acquired for the Nano plant. Instead, the amount should have been used to waive off your loans."
He further asked, "Have seen you seen Nano rolling out on the streets? It is not visible any part of the country."
Speaking of black money, he said, "They have been power for the last 3 years. How many Swiss account holders are in jail? Tell me."
During 'Navsarjan Gujarat Yatra' Rahul Gandhi will cover tribal areas known to be traditional vote banks of the party. He will visit Jambusar, Bharuch, Ankleshwar, Mandvi and Vyara during the three-day yatra.
These tribal areas are strategically important for the Congress party given the discontent among Patels with BJP and problems faced by traders owing to demonetization and implementation of the GST regime.

In September, Rahul completed the first leg of the yatra in Saurashtra. He began the yatra from Dwarka after seeking the blessings of lord Dwarkadheesh and Shankaracharya of Sharda peeth.
In the second leg of the four-phase yatra, Rahul Gandhi covered several districts in Central region, including Ahmedabad, Kheda, Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Dahod and Panchmahal.
For each segment, the party has planned 'Jan Samvaad' (Dialogue with people).
