Dinkaran had earlier announced that he would be going to the AIADMK headquarters here but later changed his plans and announced that he would tour the state.

TTV Dhinakaran

NEW DELHI: In the latest row between the two factions of the AIADMK party, the TTV Dhinakaran –Sasikala faction of the party accused the BJP led central government of meddling in the internal affairs of the party and questioned the independent functioning of the Election Commission on Wednesday.

V Pugazhendhi raised the issues of current leadership in power under the OPS Pannerselvam camp being influenced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led central government, further stating that the state BJP leaders are using pressure tactics through the state machinery.

The faction leaders also met the EC and the date for next hearing on the case is on November 6th for the hearing on the matter of the symbol ‘two leaves’, the Supreme Court has set the date of November 10th for clearing the dispute.

“There is a very good understanding between both the BJP and the other group, I have a doubt whether it is AIDMK or BJP ruling the state? The state BJP leaders are pressurizing us, V.Maitreyan unnecessarily went and submitted a memorandum for disqualification of the three members, which is not under the law , these types of things are being used in the state” said Pugazhendhi.

Meanwhile, the faction leaders also raised the question that when the matter is pending in the EC then –“How can they meet Rajayasabha secretary to disquilfy MPs ?” added Pugazhendi.

"He (Miatriyan) was in the BJP earlier and because of that network, he is able to meet Union ministers frequently and pass on misleading information about our faction," Pugazhendhi alleged.
