It’s been an incredible year for women all across the globe, and several nations have lent support to the concept of gender quality by taking small steps towards their empowerment. Honouring their accomplishments, Glamour recently announced their Women of the Year list. Making a smashing entry, supermodel Gigi Habib and Dior’s first female creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri made to the list. Along with the two, several other women from the world of politics, entertainment, fashion and business will be honoured on November 13 at a gala event in Brooklyn, New York.

Clinging to fame through the reality show ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’, Hadid has been modelling since she was three years old. Racking most magazine covers, runway shows, fashion weeks and editorial gigs, the 22-year-old has not looked back since then and also enjoys a 36 million fan following on Instagram. On the other hand, Chiuri seems to take her job quite seriously - with Dior’s tulle gowns, biker jackets, and the subversive "We Should All Be Feminists" T-shirt on the runway.

Actress Nicole Kidman, singer Solange Knowles, Syrian refugee Muzoon Almellehan, late-night TV host Samantha Bee, and "Wonder Woman" helmswoman Patty Jenkins are some of the other women who stood out on the list. This year’s honorees will have solo Glamour covers in a spread for December.
