Complete five lakh rural houses by June: CM Naidu

VIJAYAWADA: CM N Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to complete the construction of 5 lakh house under the NTR Rural Housing Scheme by June, 2018.While conducting a review meeting with officials on the the progress of rural housing schemes at the IGC in Velagapudi on Tuesday, the CM said that out of the five lakh houses, construction of 2.5 lakh houses should be completed by January, 2018 and the remaining by June, 2018.

The CM also instructed the officials to take up a survey to identify homeless families in the State as the government will provide houses to all the needy.During the meeting, the officials said work of 1,45,540 houses had been completed so far, including all government schemes like NTR Housing (rural, special, urban and relief from Hudhud), PMAY and others.
