Coimbatore: Deputy commissioner of income tax department (Coimbatore) S Sivakumar, who went missing since October 13, was found in an unconscious state on the Bengaluru-Chennai national highway at Burgur near Krishnagiri on Monday night. A home guard noticed the commissioner and informed the police, who helped the 38-year-old officer to reach his father's house in Chennai on Wednesday.
S Sivakumar, a resident of Cheran Maa Nagar in the city, went missing on October 13 after a fight with his wife Sridevi. The couple has two children. Sivakumar left his mobile phone, debit, credit cards and all electronic gadgets at his home before leaving the house in the wee hours. Three days later, the family approached Peelamedu police inspector who registered a man missing case.
Around 10pm on Tuesday, Sivakumar was found in an unconscious state on the roadside at Burgur in Krishnagiri district by a home guard. Immediately, the home guard took him to Burgur police station where Sivakumar developed fits for thrice. Immediately, he was given treatment in a hospital.
On Wednesday morning, Sivakumar was sent to Chennai in an ambulance along with a team of doctor and he was handed over to his father Senbagaraman, a retired IPS officer.
