Nathupur to get separate power line

GURUGRAM: Residents of Nathupur village are likely to get a separate power line as discom has initiated its efforts to bifurcate the 11 kV feeder that until now distributed electricity in DLF-3 leading to burdening of infrastructure and power tripping.

The plan was chalked out in February. Discom officials told TOI they started the work to bifurcate the feeder. According to the plan, a new feeder line will be established that would emanate from 66 kV power house at Q Block in Sikanderpur.

"The entire area, including DLF-3, used to get power from one line only," said Kuldeep Nehra, DHBVN's sub-divisional officer of DLF city. "And there were many consumers in Nathupur village which is adjacent to the area. So the increased demand from Nathupur would pose a burden on overall infrastructure, leading to power tripping in the area."

Officials said the new feeder will provide a separate supply source for the village — home to around 4,000 consumers. Besides this, discom will also add a new 11 KVA feeder to the Wellington area that draws power from 66KV sub-station in Sector 43. "The addition will reduce the problem of overloading to a naught," Nehra said.
