Nagpur: The start of Master of Arts (MA) third semester exams are likely to be delayed by another 10 days as the Nagpur University (NU) draft committee would take a couple of days to formulate the course direction.

On Oct 31, TOI had reported that the exam section was likely to prepare the timetable by November 1, issue hall tickets by November 5 and commence exam from November 15.

Officials said the exam section though had no problem in conducting the exam as per original schedule and prepare the timetable but it would have been unable to prepare results.

TOI had reported that colleges had confusion regarding syllabus and foundation course leading to wrong entries in the exam forms of Master of Arts third semester. This not only delayed the process of publishing timetable but also raised question on NU decision to switch over from credit based semester (CBS) pattern to choice-based credit system (CBCS) for third semester.

Officials said since the academic section admitted its fault and agreed to prepare the direction on Tuesday, it has pushed the exam start date by another 10 days. Exam section officials said the exam may start only after November 20 since the vice chancellor is out of town and even if draft committee readies the direction it will need his approval.
