AGRA: A Rajasthan court has issued an arrest warrant against Dr Divya Chaudhary who was allegedly caught conducting an illegal pre-natal sex determination test on a decoy pregnant woman in Aligarh on October 16. Rajasthan Police, which conducted the raid, had failed to arrest her then due to the intervention of two BJP MLAs who put pressure on local police for her release.
Confirming that an arrest warrant had been issued against her, Naveen Jain, appropriate authority of the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Cell, Rajasthan, said a team would be sent to Aligarh on Tuesday to execute the warrant. "The local DM will be informed and he will have to provide protection to the team and facilitate Chaudhary's arrest," Jain added.
