Cop’s wife held for helping him cheat

HYDERABAD/CHENNAI : A trainee IPS officer was allegedly caught trying to do a Munnabhai MBBS to better his UPSC score here on Monday. The 27-year-old Safeer Karim was caught red-handed using a gadget to get answers while taking the exam. He had cleared UPSC exam in 2015 with an All India Rank of 112, and is currently posted as trainee Assistant Superintendent of Police in Tirunelveli district, TN.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad Intelligence officials and Task Force sleuths jointly detained his wife and friend in city for helping him with the answers. Task Force Inspector Janaiah said Karim was caught red-handed in Chennai. He was allegedly getting answers for questions from his wife Joisy and his friend Rambabu who coach civil service students in the city.

Hours after Chennai police caught Karim in Chennai exam centre, they alerted Hyderabad police to locate his wife and friend.Cops said Karim used a high-end gadget that was connected to his Google drive and Gmail account. Few days ago, he allegedly helped his sister clear an exam for junior assistant post with ISRO.
