The air is colder, and ski season is almost upon us. But if you're still stuck behind a desk, the next best thing to strapping in is North Face's new promo spot featuring Tom Wallisch freeskiing through a little mountain neighborhood.

The promo, called "Imagination," follows a young kid stuck in the back of his parents' car on a long road trip. The adults drone on in front, but outside the window, the kid sees Wallisch glide past his window, cutting a smooth, exhilarating line through shops, stairsets, rooftops and sidewalks.

The film manages to channel an '80s road trip movie and a Warren Miller ski film at the same time, lovingly shot in a light sepia-tone and set to the beat of the Avalanches' "Because I'm Me," the perfect jazzy-retro-hip hop tune to accompany Wallisch down the hill. If you need four minutes of bliss, this is the video to watch.

The film was shot on location in Nelson, British Columbia. Its producers, Sherpas Cinema, were continuing the almost-quaint, chilled-out vibe of their original urban ski segment, an equally incredible shot featuring the late JP Auclair (and set to LCD Soundsystem's "Dance Yrself Clean").

The piece took three weeks to shoot for just four minutes of tape, edited together seamlessly.

"This video project was one of most challenging, yet rewarding projects I've ever been apart of," Wallisch said in a statement. "With so many moving pieces and unique shots and locations it was an undertaking to complete. I swear I could feel JP guiding us on the video as we shot it."

And boy, does it show. Hit play, crank up the quality to HD, and take a 4:39 break from the stressors of life. We swear you'll be able to smell crisp pine trees and ski wax by the end.
