Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday applauded India's jump in the 'Ease of Doing index' report issued by the World

Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister said that an easier environment is leading to historic opportunities for the entrepreneurs, particularly the MSME sector.

In accordance with the World Bank's 'Ease of Doing index', has risen as much as 30 positions to rank 100th amongst 190 countries.

The Ease of Doing report is based on how easy it is for companies to do as well takes in account certain regulations based on ten parameters including starting a business, getting electricity, dealing with construction permits and paying taxes among others.

Earlier in 2016, was ranked among top 50 in three categories including minority investment, getting electricity and getting credit, but it ranked among the worst in the world in dealing with construction permits, resolving insolvency, registering property, trading across borders, paying taxes and enforcing contracts.
