Pakistan man held with boat from Harami Nala

Rajkot: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday nabbed a Pakistani national and seized his boat from near creek area of Harami nala in Kutch.


According to BSF sources, Sartaj Ibrahim, who belongs to Sindh province of Pakistan, was nabbed on Monday from the newly-formed Tri-Junction chowky near Harami nala. His boat was apprehended from about 7km inside Indian waters.


According to BSF, infiltration from Harami nala is common and recently they had nabbed 18 Pakistani boat from the area. The Tri-Junction chowky was formed after these recent incidents.


The narrow stretch of marshy land is located between Sindh province and Rann of Kutch. In this area, 2,500 fishing boats from Sindh and Gujarat are fishing on daily basis. Sometimes, fishermen of both countries cross the water border in apprehension of big catch on the other side.
