With a coastline of about 3,500 miles, inland sources in Rajasthan and Little Rann of Kutch, and the rock salt mines in Mandi, India have possibilities of attaining a high position in salt production among the salt producing countries of the world. As is known, apart from being an indispensable item of food, salt is an important raw material for the manufacture of several heavy chemicals e.g. soda ash, caustic soda and chlorine. Besides, salt is used in food processing industries, such as fish curing, meat packing, dairy products and fruit and vegetable canning.

Qualifications (Project JRF):
M. Sc. in Chemistry / Bioinformatics / Biochemistry / M.Pharma and NET/NET-LS/DBT-BET/GPAT is desired
Project Assistant-II: M. Sc. in Chemistry/Bioinformatics/Biochemistry/MPharma with 55% marks

Fellowship (Project JRF): Rs 25000 + HRA as per DBT/ SERB / CSIR guidelines.
(Project Assistant-II):  Rs 25000/- (consolidated)

Age:  As on date of interview
The upper age limit for Project JRF is 28 years, Age relaxation is applicable as per DBT/CSIR rules.

Job requirements:
The selected candidate will work on the project entitled “In Silico studies on Peptide Nucleic acids toward their stabilities with metal ions, nano-clusters/modified backbones and exploiting the PNA for biosensing of DNA, RNA with metals/Hydrocarbon surfaces” and has an opportunity to be registered for Ph. D. program upon fulfiling required criterion.
