3 vehicles seized for illegal waste dumping

GURUGRAM: The MCG seized three vehicles for allegedly dumping construction and debris waste in public places on Saturday night.
The offenders were caught while dumping construction waste in sectors 27, 28, 29 and 44. The corporation imposed a penalty of Rs10,000 on each offender. "We immediately informed the cops, who in turn impounded the three vehicles. Kishore Lal, a resident of Bharatpur in Rajasthan, Ramesh, a resident of Delhi, and Mujad, a resident of Gurgaon were taken into custody by the police," said Bijender Sharma, senior sanitation inspector, MCG.
Talking about strict vigil on waste burning cases, a senior official in MCG said, "In the last six days, we have reported three cases of waste burning in the city and penalised those who were responsible for the waste burning." The MCG has now formed a team in each zone to keep a check over waste dumping and waste burning. The zonal team works in shifts for 24 hours and seven days.
