Kerala State Women's Commission Chairperson M C Josephine welcomed the Supreme Court direction to produce Hadiya.
Following the Supreme Court direction to produce Hadiya/Akhila for open court hearing on November 27, her father has said that he does not have any issues with Hadiya's choice of religion. "I will produce her in court on 27th. I do not have any issues with her religious faith but I cannot accept Shafin Jahan (Hadiya's Husband)," he said.
Ashokan also denied claims that Hadiya is under house arrest. "Nobody has restricted her movement, she is not under house arrest. She herself has decided not to go out because she will be accompanied by police officers. Such claims are part of an agenda, from the beginning there have been attempts to propagate false information about me and my family," said Ashokan
Hadiya's husband Shafin Jahan has expressed great happiness in this recent development. "I am really happy that the Supreme Court has decided to hear the version of Hadiya. I hope that things will turn out positive after Hadiya's hearing," Shafin Jahan told India Today.
Kerala State Women's Commission Chairperson M C Josephine welcomed the Supreme Court direction to produce Hadiya. "Woman's Commission wanted SC to hear Hadiya's version as well. We have done everything that we could to ensure safety for Hadiya and we will continue to do so," said Josephine.
