Man held for abusing doctor at CMCH

Coimbatore: Police arrested a 47-year-old man for allegedly abusing a duty doctor at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Sunday.
The arrested has been identified as C Murugan alias John of Suleeswaranpatti near Pollachi. Police said Chandrasekar of Pollachi was admitted at the CMCH after he met with an accident at Negamam police limit three days ago. Murugan learned about the accident and approached Chandrasekar. He tried to hoodwink Chandrasekar to get treatment in a private hospital in Pollachi. He assured him to make arrangements to shift him to the private hospital. But Chandrasekar denied and informed the duty doctor Ramesh Raja.
Immediately, the doctor questioned Murugan and advised him not to canvass for a private hospital in CMCH campus. However, Murugan fought with the doctor and abused him. TNN
