Ex-girlfriend Sunita Rajwar on Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s book: I left you because of your poor way of thinking

Only recently, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's ex-girlfriend Niharika Singh had accused him of fabricating stories and portraying lies to make his book, 'An Ordinary Life' fly off the shelves. And now, it is the turn of Sunita Rajwar, Nawaz's first girlfriend and her story looks no different.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s recently released memoir, ‘An Ordinary Life’, has managed to upset not one but quite a few. Only recently, Niharika Singh had accused Nawaz that for his book, he was “fabricating stories and manipulating a fleeting relationship.” And now, Nawaz’s first girlfriend, Sunita Rajwar is here to call his bluff, it seems.

In a long Facebook post, Sunita goes on about how Nawaz has portrayed their relationship and mainly their break-up to be something it wasn’t. In his memoir, Nawaz had written how after his break-up from Sunita, he had decided that he would never be as emotional again in any relationship. Nawazuddin was in fact so affected by the end of their “deep, passionate love” that he “plunged into deep, deep depression” and was even thinking of committing suicide.

“I took a bucket of fresh white paint and began to replace her artwork on my walls with the blank canvas that they were before,” says Nawaz and even justifies that maybe Sunita wanted to “date someone successful, not a struggling, desperate actor who was out of work.” And he also goes on to say “today, Sunita tells everybody that she was once together with me in a very serious relationship.”

And to all this, Sunita has a different story to tell, a very different one. While Nawaz says that even though he and Sunita were both NSD graduates, they never met on campus. But Sunita rubbishes the claim and says that it is true that they didn’t have any kind of relation in NSD but to say that they never met there is a little odd.

An excerpt from Nawaz’s book reads, “You remember those old-fashioned hearts with the names of lovers in it, sometimes with an arrow across it, sometimes without? Her doodles (on his wall) were something like that.” Sunita rejected this idea as well, saying that she never drew anything on his wall, then how could he paint the artwork all white again.

Coming to their break-up, Sunita says that Nawaz has always been a sympathy seeker. And that is the reason that Nawaz claims that she called it off because he was poor. She asks him why does he forget that Sunita was much more of a struggler at the time than him. While Nawaz had his own house to put up in, she had to move into a friend’s apartment.

Revealing the true reason of their separation, she said that she was actually disgusted by Nawaz. And why so? Because she had found out that Nawaz had been revealing intimate details of their affair with some mutual friends while making fun of it. So, that is when Sunita allegedly came to know of his thoughts about relationships and women and she, therefore, decided to move away from him.
