Rajkot: A truck carrying a large cache of liquor supply worth Rs 38.62 lakh was seized and two persons arrested near Vankaner boundary on Rajkot-Ahmedabad highway on Saturday night.
Police identified the accused as truck driver, Bhagwan Sangh Jat (40), a resident of Selana town in Haryana, and cleaner, Dharmendra Sherwani (24), a resident of Badhela town in Haryana.

The seizure includes 10,296 Indian-made foreign liquor bottles worth over Rs 37 lakh and 1,440 beer cans worth Rs 1.44 lakh. "During interrogation, the arrested duo said that the consignment was meant for Rajkot bootlegger Altaf Chha Angali, and that Joginder Yadav and Kalu Yadav had sent the consignment," said RR cell sub-inspector Kunal Patel.
