Modi arrives in Dharmasthala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Mangaluru International Airport at 10.20 am on a special flight on Sunday.

The prime minister immediately left for the temple town of Dharmasthala on board an IAF helicopter.

Union ministers D V Sadananda Gowda and Ananth Kumar welcomed the prime minister at the airport.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader and Mayor Kavitha Sanil, too, were present.

Soon after landing at the helipad in Ujire, the prime minister will have the darshan of Lord Manjunatha and proceed towards Rathnaverma Heggade stadium, where he will take part in a public programme.

The prime minister will distribute Rupay cards to the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana account holders facilitated by Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project and launch digitised cashless self-help group transaction.
