Neighbour held for raping minor

Surat: A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl at her house even as her elder brother was present in another room on Saturday.
Haresh Odha Sakaliya, a resident of Dindoli, was arrested from his house.
Police took the rape survivor for medical examination on Sunday. "Medical examination of the girl could not be completed on Sunday. We will take her again to the hospital on Monday," police said.
The accused, who knew the rape survivor, entered her house at around 1am on Wednesday night. The rape survivor did not shout for help since she knew the accused. The accused forced her to get physical with him and threatened to drink a poisonous substance and kill her if she opposed him.
The rape survivor's brother was sleeping in his bedroom when the crime happened. The rape survivor informed her brother after the accused left. They informed their parents who had gone to their native.
