Superintendent of Police S.V. Rajasekhar Babu on Saturday inaugurated 30 Youth Clubs in Kuppam, Ramakuppam, Shantipuram, Gudupalle and V.Kota mandals of Kuppam Assembly constituency, with over 900 youth registering on the first day.
At Kuppam, the SP said the objective behind the concept was to extend multiple benefits to youth and students seeking jobs in various fields, and to prevent them from going astray with bad company and engaging in anti-social activities. “A number of youth, after completing their education or dropping out from school or college, face an uncertain future after searching for jobs and not finding any due to lack of skills. The Youth Clubs will extend regular training to unemployed youth in English, general knowledge, aptitude tests, arithmetic and group discussions,” he said.

“We will involve professors and subject experts in this project. The youth will also be given orientation on recruitment in the police department, Army and other defence services. Once the youth are engaged with progressive ideas and activities, they are going to usher in a healthy society. This in turn will create a crime-free social order,” Mr. Rajasekhar Babu said.
The SP also inaugurated a Youth Library at Mallanur near Kuppam, equipped with useful books, newspapers and digital material on various subjects.
The SP led a motorcycle rally with large participation of youth from Krishnagiri Circle in Kuppam to Parama Samudram locality. At Paramasamudram, the SP donated a water plant to the Gurukul Patashala.
Circle inspector (Kuppam) M. Rajasekhar said that the youth interested in joining the clubs should approach the sub-inspectors of the concerned mandals.
Deputy SP (Palamaner) Chowdeswari was among those present.
