Govt move to fill up vacant posts

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has asked different departments to expedite the process of recruitment to vacant posts. He also launched a new web portal for monitoring of the recruitment and training process.The Chief Minister, on Thursday, also directed all departments to provide information on recruitment related information online. He said calendar prepared by different recruitment agencies of the Government, including the commissions should be implemented properly. Besides, he said that combined recruitment tests should be held for similar posts.

Stating that the state government has launched a transparent counseling process for first posting, the chief minister asked the officials to give importance to soft skill growth of the new appointed employees during their training. He also asked all departments to coordinate with the advocate general to resolve legal issues as court cases are delaying the recruitment process.The state government has so far filled up 46,500 vacancies while requisition to fill up 26,530 post have been sent. Besides, 6409 posts out of 10,964 vacancies have been filled up at the block level.
