Doc gives evidence in thumb impression case

CHENNAI: G Balaji, who had attested the left thumb impression of former Chief Minister and AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa in the documents pertaining to Thiruparankundram by-election, appeared before Justice P Velmurugan of the Madras High Court on Friday.
As directed earlier by the judge, the doctor tendered evidence for about two hours. The judge then posted the matter for further hearing on November 3 and asked him to appear again on that date.
As per the earlier order of the High Court, K F Wilfred, principal secretary to Election Commission, had appeared before the judge on the last occasion.
